Heavy Metal muzika je možda zapostavljena od strane medija, kvazi nagrade kao Grammy i MTV VMA se trude da ih ignorišu ali taj žanr ima svoje ceremonije na kojima slavi muziku i ljude koji je slušaju.
Na petoj dodeli nagrada Golden Gods, Revolver magazina, 2. maja u Los Angeles-u dodeljene su nagrade za najbolji: album, gitaristu, bubnjara, pevača...
Nastupili su Anthrax, The Dilinger Escape Plan, Halestorm, Five Finger Death Punch, Stone Sour, Danzig, program je zatvorila Metallica dobitnik nagrade za životno delo.
